WooCommerce and Merit Aktiva integration

Merit Aktiva

Orders, customers and products move from your store into Merit Aktiva with no manual data entry.

Price
99 € / year
Licence
One domain
Same integration for: Shopify Magento

How it works

  1. 1. An order comes in

A customer places an order in your store.

  2. 2. Invoice into Merit Aktiva

The invoice is created with the customer details and the same lines as the order.

  3. 3. Payment recorded

If you want it, the payment is recorded according to the method chosen at checkout.

  4. 4. Stock levels

After the invoice is created, stock in Merit Aktiva is reduced. Changes made in Merit Aktiva reach the store.

  5. 5. Send the invoice PDF

If you want it, the completed-order email can carry the PDF invoice fetched from Merit Aktiva.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is the licence registered to the same domain the store is currently on
  • Is the e-liides licence key entered correctly
  • Is the e-liides licence still valid
  • Are the Merit Aktiva API keys in the right fields and entered correctly

The usual cause is incorrectly configured taxes in the store.

In your store admin panel go to WooCommerce → Settings → Tax → Standard rates.

Every row in the tax table needs the Shipping box ticked.

In that case the shipping method on the order probably has no VAT either — the order taxes have to be fixed first.

  • The invoice PDF can be attached to the email sent to the customer when the order is marked completed

If taxes are configured per country in the store, set the tax mappings to Merit Aktiva in the e-liides settings.

Once the tax mappings are set, all taxes arrive correctly.

There are several options, but in our experience the following works best.

In your store admin panel go to WooCommerce → Settings → Tax → Standard rates.

If you use an EU VAT plugin and the right taxes do not come through for orders with a VAT number, get in touch with our support and we will add support for that plugin.

  • Add a separate row for each EU country and set the tax to that country’s VAT rate
  • In the e-liides settings, map each tax to the matching Merit Aktiva account
  • The bottom row of the tax mapping table — the fallback for a missing tax — should be set to something like "0% VAT", which covers exports outside the EU
  • For the "Order with an EU VAT number" row, choose the account linked to VAT-exempt sales within the European Union

Articles do not need to be added in advance. If a product on the order is missing, the article is created automatically. Existing products are matched by product code.

Crediting a stock item returns the goods to stock, and Merit Aktiva has to know at what cost. Selling raises no such question, because the cost comes out of stock. This is why credit invoices used to be refused with "Laokaubal ABC-123 peab olema määratud omahind" — a stock item must have a cost price — while ordinary invoices for the same article went through.

The module now sends a cost price with the credit invoice row. The sale price is used by default, because the store does not know the real cost.

Note what that means: returned goods go back into stock at the sale price and the row books no margin. If that does not suit your accounting, supply the real cost through the eliides_merit_credit_row_cost_price filter — from a cost-of-goods plugin field, for instance.

If Merit Aktiva refuses for some other reason, its answer is shown in the order note. Earlier versions said only that the credit invoice had failed, which left the reason invisible.

If Merit Aktiva records invoice payments automatically, recording payments from the store side can be switched off per payment method.

For example, you can have payments skipped for bank links but recorded for PayPal.
