Connect your application to another one and get the most out of both.
For most fields there is already software that covers at least part of what a company needs. By connecting your own platform through an API, you can use those external applications comfortably from inside your own program.
Integrations let every application do what it does best, and make replacing individual pieces considerably easier later on.
A modular approach
An integration lets separate applications talk to each other. Each module handles its own job and asks for or sends data to the others through the interface.
Save time and money
Integrations save you from larger development projects. If working software already exists on the market, yours can talk to it, and its own vendor takes care of maintaining it.
How long it takes
Building an integration depends on how complex the data is and what you want at the end. If you want parcel data with tracking codes from five couriers shown in your program, that is likely five integrations. If a service already collects that data for you, one is enough.
